Restaurant
Fayetteville St., Raleigh
The interior is warm, modern, and bold. The space is a black backdrop with contrasting blazing red objects, which include a 36 foot long mural of a woman in red reaching for an orchid. The black shiny bar is set fire with red, backlit 3-Form panels of bamboo and recessed shelving that makes each wine glass and liquor bottle glow in the same firey red. The 3-Form panels are also used throughout the restaurant in the wall sconces and the restrooms to delicately expose shadows of bodies moving in the space. One single slab of black quartz creates the lav surface for both restrooms.
